Wood pigeon and sneaky snails

A pair of wood pigeon are nesting in the evergreen tree across the road. They have been collecting nesting materials from the track by our house.

For such messy looking nests, they seemed very meticulous in choosing just the right size twigs and vegetation.

I was having my lunch on our decking and catching up on some reading when I noticed a snail in flower pot where I was growing my runner beans. I lifted it out and discovered the sneaky thing was laying eggs.
I carefully scooped them out and put them in another flower pot with a bit of compost and put them down by the side gate. Everything has a place and I did not have the heart to destroy the eggs, but I didn't want them to eat my beans either.
